Hey chicks!! Microsoft has announced that they are going to release Windows Mobile 7. This is going to debut at Mobile World Congress 2010, but still not confirmed. Rumors say that Windows phone 7 is going to have a Zune platform and it is codenamed as “METRO”.
There won’t be a flash support, at least with the initial release. Microsoft has also removed the ability to load applications from a memory card. Therefore, App’s can only be installed via service based delivery.
Some of the additional details which we found on the Internet are as follow:
- No support for multitasking!
- No support for custom UI’s (No TouchFLO!, SENSE)
- Full Integration with Zune and Xbox
- Apps only downloadable via marketplace
- New API for marketplace
You should also keep in mind that none of this has been confirmed by Microsoft themselves, so we’ll have to wait for official word from them.
