Vodafone Spain has announced that the infected handsets which was spreading the Maripsoa malware will be replaced. The origin of this infection is from Vodafone UK in a HTC handset which happened recently. And now the toll has risen to 3000 in Spain. The infection is through the mass storage or the micoSD cards which when connected to a PC via USB has the malware effect. The company has also stated that the infection will be local in the infected PC’s and there would not be any major threat. That is why Vodafone Spain has promised to replace 3000 micoSD cards to its customers very shortly.
