The big wait for the launch of Microsoft Office 2010 will finally be over on May 12. This is confirmed by Microsoft itself and it will be launched in a business event according to the sources. The big news is that enterprises can get their license agreements of this package on the same day. But consumers can expect the general sale by June. Microsoft has finally revealed its first production windows 7 device. The prototype is from LG with QWERTY slider device with 5 megapixel camera and 800×480 touchscreen. However, the specifications are yet to be confirmed. Anyhow, we can expect the device to have some faster processor to run the windows 7 OS. LG has announced that they have obtained the ‘Windows 7 touch logo’ for its touch screen panels. They are the first to gain the Windows 7 touch logo sticker for laptop displays. The LG’s in-cell multitouch functionality enables simultaneous touch recognition on two points. This LG multi-touch product has got touch sensors that is built into the display. This is completely different from normal conventional touch screen products in which they place films for touch screen function to the standard display.
Hey chicks!! Microsoft has announced that they are going to release Windows Mobile 7. This is going to debut at Mobile World Congress 2010, but still not confirmed. Rumors say that Windows phone 7 is going to have a Zune platform and it is codenamed as “METRO”.
There won’t be a flash support, at least with the initial release. Microsoft has also removed the ability to load applications from a memory card. Therefore, App’s can only be installed via service based delivery.
