Stop Asking Me Questions…
Just the other day I said a word and my daughter drove me insane as I tried to define it for her. I finally ended up telling her to go look it up on the Internet. The word was redundant. A simple word, right? Well tell that to my headstrong 15 year old who thinks she knows everything.
So, what am I going to do today?
I’m going to fill that nearly empty 60gig video iPod of hers with a copy of Encyclopodia, the Wikipedia for iPod!!!!!!! Oh yeaaaa.
Next time she bugs me about the words I use like.. personified, unfathomable, etc. I’m going to tell her to use that shiny, expensive iPod we got her for Christmas for something other than that mind numbing hip hop that’s usually blasting from those ear buds. Will she use it? I don’t know.. but I’d honestly think it would come in handy at school.
And another thought, how come she has an iPod and I don’t? Something is wrong in the universe.

Hey, Skype Me :)
Has VoIP got you feeling tied down? Stop complaining - you get what you pay for. Okay, nevermind.. looks like they’ve got a great new Bluetooth® VoIP phone coming out that let’s you wander around your house and chat on the phone with your Internet buddies afterall. Here’s the 411:
“TRENDnet’s ClearSkyâ„¢ Bluetooth® VoIP Phone Kit for Skypeâ„¢ (TVP-SP1BK) allows you to talk to friends, family or co-workers around the world at a fraction of the cost of traditional phone service. Best of all, with the long-range Bluetooth® adapter you can talk and roam anywhere you feel comfortable in your home or office without being chained to your computer.”
Now for the bad news (yea I love making you cry) it’s not available until April 2006. So, you’ll have to wait a month before you can get your grubby little paws on this ingenius little baby. Check it out at TRENDnet. (Skip to the beat and click it to jump and see some conflicting info about this gizmo.

Rainy Days Make You Cry?
Let’s make a rainbow! If you have kids, this would be a fun experiment. Or maybe you’re having a really crappy day and long for the sunshiney carefree days of your youth. Cheer yourself up and buy your own rainbow maker! Yes, there is such a thing. Don’t worry, I didn’t know about it either. Here’s the description from the website:
“Stick this amazing little gadget on a sunlit window for 24 hours and watch. The solar panel powers the motor, which turns the axle, which rotates the big Swarovski crystal, throwing prisms around the room.”

Girly Pink Cellphone Nokia 6111
Move over Motorola Razr, there’s a new girl in town! Meet the pink Nokia 6111 slider phone that you can get at T-Mobile. With a 1.0 megapixel camera, 6x digital zoom and video recording functionality this is one hot cellphone. From what I read it’s going to be available in March 2006, so keep your eyes peeled for this little number. Okay, so I have to admit it.. I actually like this cellphone better than the RAZR.
Price doesn’t look too bad.. about $120 with a service plan and $300 for pre-paid celluslar. Sure beats paying $250 for a RAZR with a 2 year service agreement.

Pink Dishwasher!!!!

Oh no they didn’t. Oh yes they did! Smeg, the company with the really odd name, has done it again. This time we get a funky retro style dishwasher in baby pink. Yes, ladies.. you got the refridgerator, right? Well, girlfriend you now need the matching dishwasher! I want one myself. Hell, at this rate I’ll never get remarried as no man will want to live in my Barbie dreamhouse. *laugh* I also like the baby blue dishwasher as well.

Savvy Chick’s Gone Google
It’s only been a couple days since I posted the announcement about Windows Live—and now Google’s in the game with their new Google Pages. It’s a WYSIWYG environment, but it also allows you to edit the source code. I built my own quickie site and you can see it here: http://digitalgirl.googlepages.com. I built it in less than 3 minutes.
They’ve got a handful of templates (wish they had more *hint hint Google guy*). I chose the only one that was available in pink. You know I love pink. The user interface is clean, easy to use and I liked it. Also, unlike Windows Live, their free service is advertisement free from what I could see. Not even a link was placed on my page. To find a free webhosting service without advertising is almost unfathomable - but hey that gives me one more reason to love Google. Yes, I shall shout if from the rooftops at the top of my lungs. Savvy Chick LOVES Google.
You have to have a Google Gmail account to access this service. If you don’t have one, just email me and I’ll send you an invite.
02/23/06 - Looks like due to an overwhelming response they’ve throttled sign-ups for Google Pages. So you’ll need to add your name to the waiting list, like what they did at Google Analytics. Sorry ladies.. but keep trying.
*OPEN AGAIN* I just checked once again and as of 02/25/06 you are able to access Google Pages and create your accounts. Yeaaah! Go try it out.
