Sony announced a new VAIO S Series laptop that is slim, lightweight as well as offering excellent battery life for all day usage. The new Sony S series laptop comes with a 15.5 inch display with 1080p HD support.
The laptop weighs just only 4.4 pounds and measures 1-inch in thickness, hence you can carry it wherever you go with ease. Optional sheet battery is one of the highlighted features of this all new VAIO S Series laptop. It offers up to twelve hours of non-stop battery backup and sits well under the laptop yet maintaining the thin profile. The optional sheet battery can also be charged separately without the need of shutting down your laptop.
Sony VAIO S Series laptop is packed with a second generation Intel Core i7 processor for increased performance at the same time without consuming much battery power. The processor also delivers ample power for multitasking, thanks to the latest Intel turbo boost technology 2.0.
To deliver maximum performance while transferring and accessing applications, the laptop comes with 1TB of solid state drive. You can now experience much quicker boot-ups and faster application launches. Some selected VAIO S Series laptop models are equipped with AMD Radeon HD 6630 Hybrid Graphics card with 1GB of video RAM. Sony VAIO S Series laptop also comes with built-in HD webcam, backlit 10-key numeric keyboard, one-touch web buttons and Blu-ray Disc drive.
The all new Sony VAIO S Series 15.5 laptop models will be available in October with the starting price of about $1000.
