Sony has finally announced the market launch of the much anticipated and awaited tablet PC of the year, the Sony Tablet S and Sony Tablet P. Both these Sony tablet PC devices are packed with unique hardware, contents and network services that offer great multimedia, communication and web experiences to the users.

Sony Tablet S device features 9.4-inch touchscreen display and a NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile processor that lets you enjoy web, applications and contents much faster than ever. The high resolution 1280×800 capacitive touch panel display delivers realistic sharp images and videos. The Sony Tablet S weighs just 1.33 lbs and the asymmetric design lets you handle the tablet PC for hours comfortably. Also, the built-in WiFi connectivity option ensures that you access webmail and internet anywhere, anytime.

Sony Tablet P is a device which is ideal for both entertainment and mobile communication. It features two 5.5-inch displays and it is powered with the NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile processor. The folding design and 0.83 lbs weight of this tablet PC ensures that it fits into your pocket or backpack easily. The Sony Tablet P is WiFi and 4G compatible as well. Therefore you can access videos, mail and games anytime on the go.

Some of the common features that you will find with both these Sony tablet PC models include 5.0 megapixel rear facing camera, VGA front facing camera, micro USB interface, SD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1, assisted GPS and stereo 3.5 mini headphone jack. A Wide range of optional accessories is also available with these tablets such as screen protector, carry case, rechargeable battery pack, AC adapter and Bluetooth keyboard.

The Sony Tablet S is equipped with Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system and is available in 16GB version for $499 and 32GB version for $599. You can pre-order it now or wait till it hit the stores next month. Sony Tablet S now gets Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) firmware upgrade. You can now do lot more cool things with your tablet, as well as enjoy some of the new features such as enhanced web browser, lock screen, gallery media viewer, panoramic camera mode and new home screen actions.

More importantly, you can access all your files directly from your SD card.
