Sony has just unveiled its first tablet computers, running Android 3.0 operating system. According to reports, Sony is intending to mark their position in the tablet market just like Samsung, BlackBerry and Motorola.
Sony’s head of personal computers, Kunimasa Suzuki, said that the tablet pc will be using Google’s latest Android operating system and will be available in two versions, S1 and S2.
The Sony S1 tablet pc will feature a 9.4-inch LCD display and cameras on front and rear side of the tablet as well. The S2 tablet features dual 5.5-inch screens and cameras. The dual screen of the S2 tablet can also be used together as one large screen while browsing internet and watching videos.
In January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Sony said that it was aiming for the No.2 position in the tablet market within a year.
No word on the price of the new Sony tablet pc, but both S1 and S2 tablets will be available globally this fall.
