If you’re planning to get your hands on a tablet other than Apple iPad or Samsung tablet, then SmartQ Ten Tablet might be a better choice. Smart Devices, a Chinese company has recently unveiled an Android 2.2 tablet with the new piezoelectric screen.
The piezoelectric screen will surely distinguish the SmartQ Ten Tablet from the rest of tablets available in the market today, because the piezoelectric screen will support multi-touch inputs. This means a user can use his fingers and a stylus simultaneously for inputs. The device really comes in handy for girls who find it difficult to type or operate the device with their long nails. The company also claims that producing such screens is inexpensive as compared to touch screens that you’d get with some popular tablets.
The SmartQ Ten Tablet comes with really good specifications as well. The device sports a 9.7-inch In Plane Switching (IPS) screen that supports 1024×768 resolution, 512 MB RAM and a Cortex A9 processor and Mali 400 GPU. The tablet is also expected to get an upgrade to Honeycomb OS from Android 2.2, but no confirmation about it from the company yet.
Pricing or release dates of this very cool tablet is yet to be announced.
