The Samsung S3650 Corby is tech-savvy and fresh, like its target audience. This new entrant touch screen phone seems to nicely befit both the user’s demand and their budget.

The handset looks fresh with its distinct shape and nice paintjobs. The phone is basically for the youth. The phone’s great for social networking as it offers Facebook, Twitter and MySpace integration along with easy photo and video sharing that can be directly uploaded through YouTube, Photobucket,  Flickr and Picassa.Key features of the phone include a Quad-band GSM/EDGE, A 2.8’’ TFT touch screen with QVGA resolution, internal memory of 90MB and a micro SD card slot expandable up to 8GB, a 2 megapixel fixed-focus camera, a QVGA video recording at 15fps, a FM radio with RDS, TouchWiz and Cartoon UI, Find Music recognition service, Office document viewer, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, a smart unlock, interchangeable rear covers with fashion jackets.

The main disadvantages with this phone are that it does not support 3G, the camera lacks autofocus and flash, there’s no accelerometer for screen auto rotation, and the on screen QWERTY keyboard.

Besides the basic features, the phone incorporates a lot of technologies. It supports the smart unlock, same finger zoom feature, runs the widget-based user interface TouchWiz and a nice Samsung’s home-brew web browser.

Although this phone isn’t different than those in the latest trend of Samsung’s touch screen phones but its unique styling and targeting makes it a class apart. Priced at an affordable 150 Euro, the phone turns out to be a likeable, compact and affordable model.
