Samsung officially announced the i9000 Galaxy S smartphone running Android 2.1 OS. The phone has a 4-inch AMOLED screen with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Samsung uses a new technology for AMOLED screen called mDNIe (mobile Digital Natural Imagine engine) to provide high quality images on screen. Usually Samsung implements this kind of technology for its LCD and LED televisions to get vivid and sharp images.
Samsung i9000 smartphone is going to ship with a Swype QWERTY keyboard for fast and easy text input, 1GHz processor, GPS, 5 megapixel camera, accelerometer, WiFi and Bluetooth. Release date and price of the device is still unclear.
