Samsung has finally released its Tablet PC, the Galaxy Tab in the U.S.  The new Samsung Galaxy Tab will come with several media partnerships that allow the users to rent or purchase films and TV shows directly on the device.

Samsung also unveiled some of its initial media partners that include NBC, MTV, Universal Home Entertainment and Paramount.  The device will have a built-in Media Hub through which you will be able to view media contents, pretty same like that of Apple’s iPad.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab will ship with a 7-inch touchscreen display and Google’s latest Android software.  It also comes with software that helps to view contents in split screen.  The device will be sold via AT&T Inc., Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile USA and Sprint Nextel Corp.

Samsung did not disclose the pricing details and availability of the Galaxy Tab, but the price is said to be competitive.
