Samsung B3310 is a side-slider phone meant basically for social networking fans. It features a full QWERTY keyboard designed to allow instantaneous and easy access to social platforms and messaging, be it SMS, MMS, E-mails or Instant Messaging. The phone has an unusual dial pad layout.
The display on the phone is a TFT QVGA screen, supporting up to 256k colours. It offers 2.0 Megapixel camera, with QVGA video recording. The phone also features Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP audio support. The media player supports MP3 audio files and MP4 video. It also has an inbuilt stereo FM with RDS. Internal memory is 40MB and the phone also has a microSD card slot. The phone is available in black, pink, blue, green colours. The phone uses a standard Li-Ion 800 mAh battery which offers up to 380h of stand-by time and up to 5h of talk time.
Although, with this phone, Samsung has tried to incorporate innovation into this phone, but this innovation turns out to be a little “ugly” .The QWERTY keyboard, which is accessed by sliding the keypad from the side of the phone gives the phone brutal aesthetics. The design of the alphanumeric keyboard is another let down. Where the keypad would otherwise be placed, Samsung B3310 review has a very large 5 way D-pad for navigation, having 2 navigation keys on its side. This turns out to be a sheer waste of space which could have been utilized in other ways.
In all, priced at 145 USD, Samsung B331 is an average device with not-so-good feature line up and an unconventional look and is targeted mainly for the youngsters.
