Casio has recently announced its all new rugged smartphone, the G’zOne Commando. The phone’s unique design makes it look very slim and fragile, but in reality it has been designed to withstand the toughest conditions.
The Casio G’zOne Commando rugged smartphone comes with large front speakers that can blast music anytime, anywhere. It has the highest volume level that you’ll ever find with smartphone’s available today. So, you can use the speakers even in noisy environment as well.
The phone features XT9 text entry feature that let users enter letters and text by just gliding their fingers from one letter to the next on the touch screen QWERTY keyboard. Phone also boasts several inbuilt applications such as earth compass, walking counter, adventure training, trip memory, thermometer, star gazer and sun/moon.
Casio G’zOne Commando rugged smartphone also satisfies the Military Standards 810G for rain, drop, dust, immersion, vibration, salt fog, solar radiation, low pressure, humidity and high/low temperature.
Besides being a rugged smartphone that has been built for outdoor usages, it comes with some great specification as well including 3.6-inch WVGA touch screen display with 480 x 800 resolution, 5 megapixel camera with flash, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm stereo jack and 8GB pre-installed microSD card which is expandable up to 32GB. The phone runs on Android 2.2 as well.
The new Casio G’zOne Commando rugged smartphone will be available for purchase starting April 28 via Verizon for $199.99 with new 2-year activation contract.
