Panasonic released Toughbook 53 a new semi-rugged notebook for government and businesses.  The Panasonic Toughbook 53 notebook boasts High Definition LED display and weighs just 5.6 pounds.

The Toughbook 53 provides up to 10 hours of battery life, which is pretty impressive for a semi-rugged notebook and it also suits professionals who need a reliable and versatile device to carry confidential information in a safe manner.  In addition this is the first Toughbook device to support 4G LTE high speed mobile broadband as well.

The Panasonic Toughbook 53 semi-rugged notebook is designed to resist drops on six sides; spill-resistant keyboard makes sure that your notebook is not damaged through accidental liquid spills.  Also the Toughbook 53 has passed nine military standard MIL-STD-810G tests.  The Toughbook 53 features adjustable backlit keyboard with touchpad that supports multi touch zoom and scroll.

Features and Specifications of the new Panasonic Toughbook 53 include Intel i5 or i3 processor, 14-inch HD LED display, 4-8GB of DDR3 RAM, 128GB solid state drive, USB 3.0, HDMI, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.

The Toughbook 53 i5 model is priced at $1,899 and will ship in June, while the i3 model will ship in August for $1,599.  There is also the Toughbook touchscreen version which will cost $2,449 and will ship in July.
