Nokia has officially announced its new MeeGo smartphone, the Nokia N9.  Reports say that this phone is going to the first and last MeeGo device to be released in the consumer market.

The N9 model and design is very similar to the Nokia N8 but the N9 doesn’t have any front buttons such as home, return or list. Nokia N9 will be the world’s first full touchscreen smartphone without having any physical buttons. Only options that you’ll find on the side of the phone is an unlock key and the volume adjust button.

Nokia N9 runs MeeGo 1.2 operating system which offers the full MeeGo user interface. The 3.9-inches Gorilla glass display with anti-glare polarizer lets you use the phone even under bright lighting conditions.

Some of the features that N9 comes with include 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, 1GB RAM, 8 megapixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash, 16/64 GB storage, 3.5mm jack, WiFi and 3G.

If you’re worried about the limited application access that MeeGo offers, then it won’t be much of a problem since the Nokia N9 may also support Android applications without the need of any kind of software modification, thanks to the Myriad Alien Dalvik system. The Nokia N9 is expected to be released in Sweden on September 23. We need to wait till then to find whether N9 is a success model or not.

all those facilities which Nokia provided in N9.. is less.. more than that is available in a good Chinese phone. Might be Nokia tryed a lot to copy the technologies from chinese phone.. but couldn’t achive the real success.. Now try for Nokia N10 you may get some success.. wish u all the best..
