Nikon has announced a new D-SLR camera, the Nikon D5100 with an articulating display and an external Microphone, the ME-1.
The Nikon D5100’s articulating display can rotate 180 degrees making it easy for the user to view the display in any position. The 3-inch display offer a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and 920k dot for sharp images.
Nikon D5100 supports auto-focus while recording videos as well as the option to add special effects to it. You can either capture video in 720p & 24 fps or 1080p & 30 fps. Also the 5100 has options to capture video in selective color and night vision.
The D5100 will be available for sale soon with the price tag of $799.95 (body only) and $899.95 with Nikon NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens.
Nikon ME-1 Microphone:
The Nikon ME-1 microphone is Nikon’s first ever external microphone that features stereo recording and noise dampening components. If you’re not satisfied with quality of sound which you’d record through your D-SLRs built-in microphone, then the ME-1 external microphone will be a better option to choose.
The Nikon ME-1 external microphone can sit firmly on any D-SLR camera’s hot shoe and connects through 3.5 mm stereo input jack as well. You can buy Nikon ME-1 microphone separately for $179.95 and will be available for sale later this month.
