According to rumors the next generation iPhone is expected to have much higher-resolution display than the current iPhone 3GS model. The new iPhone display will use a technology named “In-Plane Switching”, which is used by some of the top high definition desktop screens. This display supports a resolution of up to 960 x 640 pixels, which is higher than Nexus One (800 x 400) and Droid phones (854 x 480).
The next generation iPhone also has “Fringe Field Switching” technology which helps you to use your iPhone outdoors without any visibility problems. You can expect Apple to release the next generation iPhone by this summer.
