The waiting for Skype mobile application with calling facility is over. Yes, Skype has finally released a free mobile application for Symbian mobile phones in the Ovi store. Now, users can make free Skype-to-Skype calls from their phones with ease. Over 200 million Nokia device users can now download this program for free from Ovi store. You can also download the program directly from the Skype website and install it on any of your Nokia Symbian based smartphone. This announcement from Skype will surely increase the number of hits that Nokia Ovi store gets each day.

You can use Skype for Symbian Phone to make skype-to-skype calls using 3G or WiFi. You can also send text messages one-to-one or to a group with ease. Skype has also made a note that they will be updating the application soon to make it work with other Symbian mobile phones including Samsung and Sony Ericsson.
