Motorola has finally rolled out its next in line tablets, the Motorola Xoom 2.  It will be available in two versions one will be with 10.1-inch screen size, the other will have 8.2-inch screen.

The Motorola XOOM 2 and Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition will feature 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Gorilla Glass display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory and dual cameras front 1.3MP, rear 5MP.  Both these new tablets will be pre-loaded with MotoCast application that lets you stream contents between devices quite easily.

Motorola XOOM 2: What’s New?

The new Motorola Xoom 2 is a 10.1-inch tablet with much brighter and vibrant display screen than its predecessor.  It comes with curved edges design so that you will feel more comfortable while holding the tablet.  Motorola Xoom 2 is compatible with the Motorola Stylus and comes loaded with features like VPN support and data encryption.

Motorola Xoom 2 is a WiFi enabled tablet that also features MOTOPRINT that lets you take printouts without attaching any cords.  The new splash-guard coating makes the Xoom 2 as the best tablet to carry around without worrying about spills or hits.  The Xoom 2 weighs lighter than the original Xoom version and also offers better battery life of up to 10 hours.

Surprisingly the Motorola Xoom 2 tablet will be shipped with Android 3.2 Honeycomb instead of the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition: Small size, Better performance

The Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition is an 8.2-inch WiFi enabled tablet that is light weight (386 g), small size and easy to carry.  It is optimized for offering best entertainment experience, thanks to its 178 degree wide viewing angle.

Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition is said to have much better graphics performance than its predecessor Motorola Xoom.  Now you can enjoy smoother gaming and HD video watching experience along with quality virtual surround sound.  It has a preloaded remote control application that can be used as a universal remote for your audio and video devices as well.

Battery of the Xoom 2 Media Edition delivers up to 6 hours of web usage and three days of music playback.  Unfortunately it will also be shipped with Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system.

Both Motorola XOOM 2 and Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition are expected to be available in mid-November in UK and Ireland.  Pricing details are yet to be announced.
