Micromax Q1 is one among the first mobile phones n Q series. Since Qseries features qwerty keypad and so do the Q1. This multimedia handset comes with GPRS and WAP connectivity. This handset has Stereo FM radio and music player which supports most of the common video and audio formats viz MP3, AMR,MIDI, WAV. This dual sim phone is very cheap and affordable. You can get this phone in just Rs. 2, 500 in the Indian market. The form factor is of bar style with dual-band of 900/1800 MHz. This phone is very convenient to carry as it weighs just 97g and has dimensions of 111.2 x 61.2 x 13 mm.
Micromax Q1 has 220 x 176 pixels and 5.6 cms display screen supporting 262K color. This handset has 5-way navigation key with full QWERTY keypad. The mobile has background music playback and flight mode. Other features are video recorder and video player, chat/SMS/MMS messaging, auto redial, games, STK, java-enabled and many more. This handset has expandable memory of up to 4GB through microSD card. The phone has Li-ion battery of 3.7V 1000mAh and has talk-time of 3 hours and stand by battery back up of up to 120 hours.
The box content includes transceiver, charger, standard battery, hands-free kit, service guide, user guide and warranty card. The phone has few drawbacks like it has no bluetooth, no Wi-Fi and no camera. But the purchase of this phone is a good deal as you get many exciting features at such a low price.


I luved this fone when i bought it. So here is why:

+ cool duel sim
+ lots of space
HATED these:
- difficult to use
- SMS turns out blank (some issue with ASCII)
- poor sound quality while talking
- Handfree kit is a joke (ha ha ha)
- User guide is pretty unhelpful
- Data transfer problems (very bad)
