Lenovo has joined hands with a company called Tobii to develop the world’s first Eye-Controlled Laptop.  Lenovo’s new Eye-controlled laptop has been built only as a prototype for demo purposes.

The Eye-controlled laptop is said to make the user experience better than touchscreen and motion control laptops that are available in the market today.  Users could just look at their laptop screen to control any applications without any mouse clicks.  Further glancing at a specific icon or folder can provide more information about that subject as well.

Eye-tracking software that comes along with the laptop can help the users to put their laptop into sleep mode and scroll through text by just looking at the screen.  The software could be further tweaked to perform many other functions as well.

Only twenty such Eye-controlled laptop prototypes were made by the company for demo purposes.  May in couple of years we could expect them to implement this wonderful technology for commercial laptops as well.
