Sony:VAIO X – World’s Lightest Laptop

Sony has finally revealed its latest lightweight, size zero laptop ‘VAIO X’.  This ultra-slim laptop weights only 655 gms and half an inch in thickness.  With the release of this laptop, Sony has entered the race of world’s lightest notebook along with other competitors like Apple, Dell and Acer.

Sony Vaio X has been released in two styles, one with smooth glossy finish and other with a metal look.  Specifications are as follow:Sony-VAIO-X-Series

·    Thickness: 0.5-inch
·    Screen: 11.1-inch backlit LCD screen in either matte or glossy display
·    Processor: Intel Atom (could change to CULV)
·    Storage: 120 GB hard disk drive (HDD)
·    Memory: 2 GB RAM
·    Ports: 2 x USB; Ethernet; SD card reader; Memory Stick Duo slot; VGA output; headphone
·    Battery: 16 hours battery life
·    Body material: Carbon Fiber
·    Operating System: Windows 7
·    Cost: under $2000.
Sony had planned to rule the laptop market with this size-zero laptop series.  Despite of its high price, the laptop is expected to do well in the market for its sleek design and long lasting battery life.
