HP has announced new set of EliteBook and ProBook models this week, including their first pro tablet PC. The EliteBook 2740p tablet has a 12.1-inch multitouch display with pen support. It also uses the Intel’s latest and much faster core i5 or i7 low -voltage processor, so that the system can run upto 5 hours on a single charging. Some of the other specifications that are expected in the system include 160 GB to 180 GB HDD upto 8 GB of RAM and DVD writer. It is expected to have a price tag of $1,599.

HP’s next model EliteBook, the 2540p is also expected to get released soon. It is the first lightest and ultra portable laptop by HP. At just 3.3 pounds, it is the best EliteBook for heavy usages. This EliteBook 2540p uses the full-power Intel core i5 and i7 chips, unlike the low-voltage processors that is used in EliteBook 2740p. Longer battery life of upto 8 hours, while using a standard six-cell battery and over 10 hours on using the 9 cell battery. This system would be priced at $1,099.

ProBook models like 4320s, 4420s, 4520s & 4720s are expected to have 13.3-inch to 17.3-inches display range respectively. It uses Full power core i3 to i7 processors and optional Mobility Radeon HD 4350 graphics card for better performance. Prices should at $719. You can expect the release of EliteBooks by this April and ProBook models by this month.
