Companies like Samsung and HTC might be promising to release Honeycomb tablets in future. However, according to some sources ViewSonic might win the race by releasing its first, actually world’s first 7-inch Honeycomb tablet later this month.
The company will soon launch the new Viewsonic ViewPad 7x, a new Honeycomb tablet that will join their previous 7-inch model the ViewPad 7. Sources say that the new Honeycomb tablet from Viewsonic will be unveiled at Computex in Taipei.
Besides running Honeycomb Android Operating System, the Viewsonic ViewPad 7x features Nvidia Tegra 2 chip dual core processor, front and rear cameras with recording, HSPA+, DLNA and HDMI support. The new Viewsonic Honeycomb tablet weighs just 380 grams and comes with an unconventional stylish back design.
There is no word on the price about the new Honeycomb tablet from ViewSonic, but it is expected to hit stores in June 2011.
