Havnon Technology recently unveiled its first e-reader with a color display (E Ink Holdings). At the FPD International 2010 trade show in Tokyo, Havnon released this all new color e-reader. E Ink Holdings, black-and-white displays are already been used in some of the popular e-readers like Sony readers, Amazon kindle and Barnes & Noble Nook.

As per the specification, the Havnon e-reader color will have a 9.68-inch touchscreen color display, 800 MHz Freescale ARM Cortex A8 processor, 128MB DDR memory and 2GB of Flash storage memory. The e-reader also comes with microSD slot that supports up to 32GB of external storage memory, and a USB 2.0 port. Microsoft’s WinCE 6.0 OS powers the e-reader.

The Havnon color e-reader is expected to hit the Chinese market in March next year, with a price tag of around $440. The e-reader also expected to have Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity support as well.
