Panasonic is set to release a new range of power-assisted bicycles with 2 child seats.  The bicycle child seat is placed right over the rotating shaft of the handle, thus making it easy to drive even on steep roads.

The power bicycles from Panasonic will be available in two versions, the Gyutto and Gyutto Mini.  The Gyutto will feature 22 and 26 inches front and rear wheels respectively, whereas the Gyutto Mini’s wheels are both 20 inches.

Panasonic has designed the front wheels smaller than the rear ones inorder to improve the stability of the bicycles.  However, user who wants pedaling experience just like other normal bicycles can opt for the Gyutto which comes with 26-inch rear wheel.

Another great feature of these new bicycles from Panasonic is the “Sutapita” function, which ensures that the handle is fixed while you park up the bicycle.  And the bicycle child seat can be removed easily for cleaning as well.

The bicycles are also equipped with an 8Ah lithium-ion rechargeable battery that lets you enjoy, smooth riding for about 36km on a single charge.  The Power-assisted Bikes will be released in Japan on May 23rd and is priced at around $1,604.
