Cisco recently announced two new set of 802.11n wireless routers, the Cisco Valet series and Linksys E-series. With the help of Cisco Valet router you can easily set up a secure wireless network without going through any complicated network interfaces. You can use the Cisco Connect Software which is included with the Easy setup Key USB flash drive to setup a wireless Internet access within minutes. You can configure WiFi network for additional computers by simply plug-in the Easy setup Key to make it work with WiFi network. The next Valet router version, the Cisco Valet plus will have the same kind of functionality as the Cisco Valet along with a 4Gigabit Ethernet port and an extra antenna for better wireless coverage. The Valet and Valet plus routers are priced at $100 and $150 respectively.

The Linksys E-series routers are purely meant for advanced users who need extra features and additional network setup options. The Linksys E1000 entry-level router would cost around $80 and will have only four 10/100 Ethernet ports. However, the Linksys E2000 will have the dual-band functionally which allows users to use either 2.4 GHz or 5GHz spectrum depending on the area and it is priced at $120.

The high-end version the Linksys E3000 ($180) will have 2.4GHz/5GHz along with UPnP media server functionality. The new Linksys E2100L ($120) will have all the features as the E3000 but with 10/100 Ethernet ports, which means slower wired transfers. The Linksys E2100L model is said to utilize Linux OS for better network customization.
