Canon has announced its new EOS-1D X Digital SLR Camera that supports enhanced image quality and speed capabilities. The new Canon EOS-1D X Digital SLR Camera features 18-megapixel CMOS sensor, 14-bit A/D data conversion and Dual DIGIC 5+ imaging processors. It is capable of shooting videos at an incredible twelve frames per second. Just like any other Canon EOS DSLR cameras, the new EOS-1D X Digital SLR Camera also comes with wide range of accessories that will serve professionals in wide area including nature, sports and commercials.
The Canon EOS-1D X features Dual DIGIC 5+ image processors which are seventeen times faster than DIGIC 4 processors hence the camera supports high-speed continuous shooting along with low noise and much faster data processing speed than previous Canon EOS-1D models. The camera’s new image sensor makes the EOS-1D X as the lowest noise digital camera available today and the images produced with this camera can also be up-sized to any resolution easily. The EOS-1D X features a second generation self-cleaning unit that removes any dust particles from the sensor automatically.
Canon EOS-1D X Digital SLR Camera comes with a new AF configuration tools that let you customize settings easily as per your needs. The camera also offers six AF point selection modes as well. With the new Canon camera automatic splitting of movie files across multiple 4GB files is possible with no frame drops. The camera supports full HD 1920 x 1080 video recording at different frame rates and SD video recording in NTSC or PAL standards. EOS-1D X also features manual audio level control and a wind filer. Optional external microphone can also be connected to the camera using the mic input.
As far as the connectivity of the new Canon EOS-1D X Digital SLR Camera, it comes with built-in Gigabit Ethernet LAN connection for ultra-fast data transmission. The Canon WFT-E6A Wireless File Transmitter and Canon GP-E1 GPS Receiver are the two new accessories that are exclusively available for EOS-1D X, which can be integrated to the camera easily for performing extra functions.
The Canon EOS-1D X Digital SLR camera and the WFT-E6A Wireless File Transmitter will be available in March 2012 at an estimated retail price of $6,800 and $600 respectively. The Canon GP-E1 GPS Receiver will be released in April 2012 for $300.
