Now the long awaited news is out. Yes, the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet is finally set to go on sale starting April 19. Research In Motion has announced this officially and also denoted that the BlackBerry PlayBook will be available at 20,000 outlets across United States and Canada.
The starting price of the PlayBook tablet is set at $499 that features 16GB storage and Wi-Fi. BlackBerry would also be releasing another two Wi-Fi PlayBook tablet models with 32GB and 64 GB storage space at $599 and $699 respectively.
Both U.S. and Canada users can now Pre-Order their BlackBerry Playbook tablet at Best Buy today. In coming days we can also expect couple of tablet releases from Motorola and Samsung as well. Hope we’ll see a real competitor for the iPad 2 in few months.
