ASUS announced its new Eee PC X101 ultra portable netbook running MeeGo or Windows 7 operating system in dual-boot configuration. This new portable netbook features Intel’s 1.5GHz Oak Trail Atom processor along with GMA 600 built-in graphics CPU.
ASUS Eee PC X101 is a 10-inch netbook that supports a maximum of 1024 x 600 screen resolution, which is pretty average if you’re planning to use the netbook for watching movies or playing games. The netbook also boasts a webcam on top of the screen with dual-microphone array for easy video chatting on the move.
The Eee PC X101 slim netbook does comes with two USB ports and a headphone jack as well. There’s no word on how much battery life the equipped 6-cell battery can provide, but anywhere between 6 to 8 hours of battery backup is expected.
The ASUS X101 netbook will be available in white, red and gold for a price tag of $199. No word on the release date yet.
