The long awaited Alex eReader is now finally released with the price tag of $399. The Alex eReader features a dual screen with 6-inch eInk screen on the top side and a small 3.5-inch 16-bit LCD color touchscreen on the lower side. This dual screen feature is very helpful for users to scan through the documents and read the same in much brighter screen without consuming battery life. Alex eReader runs Android operating system along with the support for different eBooks format including EPUB, PDF, HTML and TXT.
With just 11 ounce and half an inch thick, the Alex eReader also ship with an in-built WiFi support and a 2GB removable memory card. A newer version of Alex eReader is also expected to be released later this year with 3G support.
