Acer unveiled the Acer Iconia Tab A500 in the United States and is available for pre-order at Best Buy exclusively.
The Acer Iconia Tab A500 will be the company’s first ever tablet that features 10.1-inch screen and Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. The Acer tablet comes with NVIDIA Tegra 1GHz dual-core processor and integrated Geforce GPU that lets you enjoy running multiple applications simultaneously, better Internet browsing, gaming, and 1080p HD video play back.
The Acer Iconia Tab A500′s 10.1-inch supports multi-touch feature that lets you control all your applications, media and games flawlessly. The Acer tablet weighs just 1.69 pounds and 0.52-inches thin as well.
Acer has also included two cameras, one (2MP) on the front and one (5MP) on the rear side of the tablet for video conferencing and picture capturing respectively. Acer Iconia Tab A500 also comes with integrated Bluetooth that lets you to connect the tablet to any other Bluetooth supported devices such as PC, printers, headsets easily.
The Acer Iconia Tab A500 sports two 3260 mAh Li-polymer batteries that provides up to eight hours of HD video playback and gaming. It also provides up to 10 hours of continuous Internet browsing through WiFi.
Some of the other specifications of the new Acer tablet include 1GB of RAM, 16GB of flash storage, up to 32GB expandable memory via Micro-SD cards. The tablet also comes pre-installed with eReading apps such as Acer LumiRead and Google Books.
You can pre-order the Acer Iconia Tab A500 with WiFi exclusively at bestbuy.com for $449.99. The tablet will be available for sale in online stores starting April 24. We’re not sure why Acer hasn’t released the 3G version of the tablet.
