Things always changes fast in the technology world. At first, we thought that there won’t be any competitor for Apple’s iPad. However, months after its release companies like HP, Samsung and Asus have also unveiled their own tablet devices to the market as a rival to iPad, thus making it tough for Apple to stay on top in the tablet market.
Having said that, now Acer one of the leading computer maker in the world has also joined the tablet market by unveiling its three new tablet devices. Among these three models, two of them will be running Google Inc.’s Android platform and comes with 7-inch and 10.1-inch screens, whereas the third device will be running Microsoft Corp.’s Windows software and feature a 10.1-inch display.
All three tablet devices will accompanies WiFi and 3G support, hence users can surf the internet without any trouble. Acer Android version tablets are expected to be available in April 2010 where the Microsoft’s Windows version tablet will go on sale in February 2010. Pricing is yet to finalized, but would likely to be in the range of $299 to $699.
Additional Info: Research In Motion (RIM) also have plans to release its first tablet the 7-inch BlackBerry PlayBook by next quarter.
